I ask everyone I meet if they would like to visit us in Tanzania and many say the tickets are too much or they do not have a passport. God will help you if you really want to take a mission trip!
This is where it all began for me, Jerry.
Part one for my journey in Faith:
Part 2 Coming Next
Falco Children’s Village I was given the opportunity to teach at the bible school in Albania in 1996, but I did not have a passport or money to buy a ticket, but I had enough to apply for my passport. I mailed the application for my passport to Houston on a Wednesday and received it in my mailbox the following Monday, so I knew our Lord wanted me to go.
After I received my passport, I put an ad in the Tulsa newspaper under garage sales. I did not list anything but my address and going to Albania, Luke 4:18. I had people walk up to me and handed me hundred-dollar bills. My fishing equipment was by the tree in the front yard with my fishing poles leaning against it and a man gave me the money for all of it but when I was helping him put the everything in the trunk of his car he seemed very puzzled, so I asked him what he was thinking about. He told me he did not know anybody that goes fishing and he does not like to go fishing and he did not understand why he was buying the fishing equipment.
I had a copy machine that did not work and a man asked me how much I paid for it and I told him my father gave it to me, so he asked me how much I thought he paid for it? I told him $650 so he gave me $650 for a copy machine that did not work. I had a $4,000 garage sale and I was not missing anything out of my home.
If you really want to go on a mission trip God will help you like he helped me.
Current update for Falco’s Children Village.
We have received three new babies in the last few months and currently have 129 children, thirty-eight children less than four years old, forty-two teenagers and every age group from four to seventeen.
When I look at the` picture of the house where my journey began, I am reminded that God does not ask us to see the entire plan. He simply asks us to trust Him with the next step.
The ministry we share today exists because God used ordinary people willing to say “yes” to His calling. It also exists because faithful supporters like you have joined us in this mission through your prayers, encouragement, and generosity.
As we continue forward, caring for children and building a future filled with hope, we remain confident that the God who guided my first mission trip is the same God who is leading us today.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
What began with one step of faith continues to impact lives every day.
